Welcome to RoseLane Table. You are making my dream come true!

Well, hi there! My name is Hayley, and we are about to have a whole lot of fun.

Something you need to know about this page? It has been a long time coming.

A few years ago, inspired by my two littles (who are not so little anymore), I thought of the name RoseLane, not sure what it would be or how I was going to use it.

I have dabbled in almost everything you can think of, spending the majority of my twenties being honed and shaped for this very moment. I truly believe this.

Raised in a large family, cooking began for me at the age of thirteen. I remember the first dish I cooked. I saw Rachel Ray make a Penne with Pumpkin Cream Sauce and off to our tiny kitchen I went. Don’t ask me why a thirteen-year-old was craving pumpkin pasta. Thankfully, I had a mom who welcomed us in the kitchen and let my older sister and I often take the responsibility of cooking for my brothers and sisters (all 5 of them!). This included grocery shopping and eventually meal planning. She trained us well!

As I got older, cooking took a backseat. It was comfy back there and stayed where it should have for a long while. I focused much of my attention on raising my two girls, which is a full-time job. As well as serving at my local church, where my husband was a full-time Worship and Discipleship Pastor.

My twenties were full of passion for teaching God’s Word to women, writing for websites (including starting my own), speaking at conferences, etc.

All the while, I was in my kitchen cooking and baking. A LOT.

I started my own cookie business which morphed into a baking business. Eventually, this all fizzled out because… selling food out of my home just wasn’t. for. me.

I have always adored a beautiful plate of food. It’s got to taste good, absolutely. But GIRL— that plate of food better look pretty :)

The feeling of laboring over a meal and watching the outcome unfold before my eyes is incredibly addicting to me. To know a whole dish can be completely transformed by one ingredient often reminds me that I am made in the image of God who is a Creator. He is FAR from boring and holds redemption in His hands. When I cook, I remember this.

This page is a new venture for me. I have yet to express what has been compartmentalized for so long as separate things. Faith and Food.

I feel like a kid who has seen the beach for the first time. I am so eager to get into this new water and swim a little.

Let me be clear. If you are not a Christian, this page is still for you. I greatly want you here, friend! This page is meant to be a page of tremendous help for everyone who stops by.

Need ideas for your recipe planning? I have a resource for you!

Looking for inspiration to get in the kitchen? You will find it here.

Desire to be taught and encouraged through God’s word? That will be here too.

My vision for this page

Can you picture something with me?

Envision a cafe…let’s say a French café (we all know they do cafés best).

A place which is dainty and beautiful, with an aesthetically- pleasing menu. No eye sores here. Off to the side lies a room crowded with warm-lighted lamps (BE GONE OVERHEAD LIGHTS!) and walls lined with a host of books. A welcoming space where you can find a couch to lay down on or a comfy chair to recline in.

And bringing together these two spaces is a table. A rather long table. A table called RoseLane. This table is for the consumer and the producer. For the one hungry for food and the one hungry for more of Christ. It’s where we sit and chat. Where we eat and drink. Where we converse about life, faith, culture, and of course… what’s for dinner that evening. A beautiful convergence containing this mixed bag of passions God has entrusted to me.

So, dear friend, that I hope will stay around: Welcome to my page!

A place where categories matter little, and creativity can take flight.

Please pull up a chair and settle in. The table is long, and I’ve got a lot of exciting things to serve you!
